Med Label Decoder
Plain English for gabapentin pharmacy-label language
This tool explains common label phrases and, where we can, pairs them with official gabapentin labeling. It does not diagnose, set a personal dose, or replace pharmacist counseling.
Store at room temperature
Keep the medicine in the temperature range stated by its label or package insert. Storage away from excess heat, moisture, and direct light helps preserve the product.
Keep container tightly closed
Closing the original container helps protect the medicine from moisture and contamination. It also keeps the pharmacy label and safety information with the medicine.
Keep out of reach of children
Medicines can be harmful when taken by someone for whom they were not prescribed. Child-resistant packaging is not childproof, so secure storage still matters.
Discard after [date]
This date may be a pharmacy-assigned beyond-use date or another product-specific limit. Using medicine after that date can mean its quality or stability is no longer assured.
Do not use if safety seal is broken or missing
A broken or missing seal can indicate that a package has been opened or compromised. The pharmacy or manufacturer can help verify and replace a questionable product.
Keep in the original labeled container
The original container carries the medicine name, directions, expiration information, and pharmacy contact details. It also helps prevent mix-ups with similar-looking pills.
